Malanos named to HR role at Consol

PATRICIA Malanos has been appointed vice president human resources by US mining major Consol Energy.

Malanos will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of organizational development and human resources activities for all Consol Energy locations.

Most recently a principal in the Pittsburgh office of Mercer Human Resource Consulting, a firm that provides human resources counseling for a variety of multinational corporations, she was also previously manager - health and welfare for Alcoa's North America Operations.

Malanos is a graduate of Duquesne University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. She is a certified employee benefit specialist and is certified in global benefit management, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
