New head for DBT China

Bracher was previously CEO of DBT Africa and took over as CEO of DBT in China on March 1 2005.

With a background in marketing and sales, business development, service, manufacturing and quality assurance, Bracher joined DBT Africa as CEO in 2002. His successes include winning back a major account as well as upgrading facilities, increasing local manufacturing and reducing turnaround times at the Germiston site. Bracher also introduced DBT products into the hard-rock market.

He will be joined on the newly formed management team by Peter Cebula, managing director of DBT China since July 2001, as well as by Helen Fu, who becomes vice president finance.

A bilingual Chinese national, Fu not only brings an intimate knowledge of Chinese business and culture, but also broad experience in financial management for both local and foreign companies operating in China. Uwe Schwier, managing director of DBT in Beijing since October 2001, will leave the company.

DBT has a representative office in Beijing and manufacturing facilities in Langfang, Tangshan and Shenhua, Inner Mongolia.
