Port Waratah appoints new head

PORT Waratah Coal Services yesterday appointed Graham Davidson as general manager, taking the reins from interim manager John Vale.

Davidson is currently general manager of operations at Rossing Uranium in

Namibia. He has engineering qualifications and operations experience in Africa, Indonesia and the Hunter Valley.

Davidson will hold the general manager job at a time when Port Waratah is undergoing major expansion. The company is moving towards expanding its facilities to cater for 102 million tonnes per annum.

Davidson will take over from Vale on October 1.
