Dywidag buys Ground Control

DYWIDAG-Systems International has bought Canadian-based Ground Control, a manufacturer of strata control products.

Ground Control manufactures rock bolts, Ground-Lok resin cartridges, rebar bolts, cable bolts and mine accessories. DSI said Ground Control has maintained its focus on ground support products and continues to be on the leading edge of new and innovative ground support technology.

Situated in Sudbury, Ontario, Ground Control has about 40 employees to provide its products and technical support service to customers.

DSI is a market leader in the development, production and application of post-tensioning and geotechnical systems. Headquartered in Germany, DSI has over 1300 employees worldwide with operations across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.

“We are pleased to have Ground Control now as part of the DSI group and look forward to continuing the successful business activities and adding DSI’s Strata Control Technology, know-how and service capability.
