What visitors to QME can expect

"We now have a waiting list of more than 40 companies who would like to exhibit if space becomes available - and I would urge any companies considering participating in QME 2008 to get on our waiting list if they wish to have any chance of being there," QME director John Gorton said.

Held every two years, the QME 2006 exhibition attracted 480 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors.

With Queensland's mining and resources sector - along with construction, building and agriculture - continuing to boom, Gorton said QME provided a unique opportunity for suppliers to interact with potential buyers across the mining, construction and agricultural industries.

Organisers said visitor delegations from a range of countries and regions around the world will also be attending, with Chinese delegates in particular likely to be well represented - as they were in 2006.
