Aquila's double whammy

The company said improvements implemented at the mine since the start of March had contributed to increased productivity and safety at the mine.

These improvements include management changes, improved maintenance practices and changes to shift rosters.

Currently at Aquila, Bounty is operating a single unit continuous miner, a Joy 14CM15 miner and two Joy shuttle cars in a coal seam height of 1.6m.

Bounty operates Aquila under contract to Anglo Coal, providing full production and outbye mining services.
