Invincible project approved by PAC

CASTLEREAGH Coal will not use highwall mining techniques at its Invincible southern extension open cut coal project in New South Wales and maintain a 300m buffer between the mine and the pagoda rock formations in the nearby national park, according to the Planning Assessment Commission which this month approved the project.

The PAC said the company was also committed to implementing a whole of site rehabilitation program that includes the Southern Extension area.
