PEABODY Energy’s has ordered a complete longwall system from Caterpillar for its North Goonyella coal mine in Queensland, which features advanced longwall automation technology to enhance safety and production.

The Cat longwall system, which is slated for delivery in the second quarter of 2019, includes roof supports and a face conveyor for a 300m face, shearer and beam stage loader.
