Glencore is hoping to increase production from its Hail creek open cut mine in Queensland in the second half of 2020.

Glencore attributed most of the fall to 3.7 million tonnes to the timing of coal extraction at Hail Creek.

"[This] is expected to be made up later in the year," it said.
