Bushfire disrupts Forrestania activities

A BUSHFIRE has disrupted operations at Western Areas’ Forrestania Nickel Operation 400km east of Perth and also at Hannans’ Forrestania Nickel Project, 120km south of Southern Cross.

FNO includes the Spotted Quoll and Flying Fox mines and the Cosmic Boy concentrator. The fire is believed to have been started by a lightning strike. The immediate risk to people and assets has passed...
