Ashton gets approval to mine Ravensworth resources

YANCOAL has received New South Wales government planning approval for its Ashton longwall mine to access some of the underground coal resources of Glencore’s adjoining Ravensworth mine.

Securing a transfer of the Ravensworth tenements to Ashton's ownership will increase the longevity and efficiency of the Ashton operation by utilising its existing equipment.
