First coal from New Acland Mine Stage 3

NEW Hope Group’s New Acland coal mine in Queensland has extracted first coal from its Stage 3 site after a long and tortuous approvals process lasting 16 years.

New Acland Mine general manager Dave O’Dwyer said first coal at Stage 3 is a breakthrough moment for the site’s 100 workers.
