On behalf of our ASX listed Client, we are conducting a search process to identify a high-quality Project Engineering Manager to step into this newly created position.
The project scope involves the design, planning, approval and development of an underground gold mine that has the potential to significantly extend the life of mine.
The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Engineering study and delivering the Engineering design for Board approval. This role provides technical direction and oversight to a range of work package owners within the business and is responsible for the identification of all business user requirements including operational readiness, optimisation of all technical solutions for the mine, processing plant, and non-processing infrastructure. The Project Engineering Manager also manages any statutory approvals processes and ensures the Engineering design work stream aligns with the overall cost/schedule and HSECQ project deliverables, working closely with all key internal and external stakeholders at all times.
It is anticipated you will possess extensive experience leading Engineering studies for major capital projects (>$200M), specifically large scale mine developments. You will be able to demonstrate a solid track record of projects that meet business user requirements and have developed and presented compelling business cases for Board approval. You have a background of multi-disciplinary project Engineering exposure gained via heavy industrial projects, ideally with significant career time spent on the owner's side, working in partnership with major contractors. You will also possess recognised tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline.
