A listed exploration group with diverse gold & base metals assets in Eastern Australia currently seeks to appoint a General Manager - Exploration due to the planned retirement of their longstanding incumbent. Key to your success will be your ability to drive aggressive programs on the group's base metals projects in the Cobar basin.

Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for developing & executing the group exploration strategy, mentoring and training the exploration team, structural interpretation, business development, compliance, reporting and much more.

This permanent appointment can be based anywhere in NSW (Central West region or Sydney preferred), with travel on a campaign basis. An attractive remuneration package (salary circa $245K-275K incl super) plus lucrative incentives is provided. You'll enjoy working for a well-funded exploration company with sizeable budgets, a strong team and extensive autonomy to drive exploration.  

As the ideal candidate, you will be a proven exploration leader with a successful track record in base/precious metals discoveries across your diverse career, encompassing substantial experience managing greenfields projects.
