Temp power problems

THERE were 24 electrical incidents involving the maintenance or testing of temporary generators on Western Australian mine sites between 2014 and 2019, the department of mines, industry regulation and safety reports, with mines inspectors finding 28 defective temporary generator installations in the same period.

The 52 reported electrical incidents and defects were caused by factors including earth faults, inadequate cable installation, ineffective residual current devices, wet environments, battery explosions...
