Queensland to go down copper string road

THE Queensland government is to underwrite the initial investment costs including the environmental impact assessment for the proposed CopperString 2.0 high voltage 1100km transmission line from Townsville to Mount Isa that is tipped to create 400 construction and 30 ongoing jobs in the outback northwest of the state.
