Newmont hedges against power cuts

ENERGY supplier Zenith Energy is buying an energy storage system from Wartsila to shore up electricity reliability at the underground Tanami gold mine in the Northern Territory.

Newmont's gas power plant at the Tanami gold mine will be backed up by a battery system provided by Wartsila.
