Classic chief executive officer Dean Goodwin said the milestone signified a major advancement for the company as it began processing its own gold from Kat Gap.

Goodwin said the bulk sample ore would first go through Kat Gap's fixed crushing and screening plant before reaching the milling circuit and passing through that circuit's ball mill, hydro-cyclones and gravity separating and concentrating equipment.

Gold will be recovered using spinning concentrators and multi-gravity separators, with concentrate cleaning to be undertaken using a single Butchart table separator with a 100kg per hour capacity.

The concentrate will be dewatered before being smelted into bars of gold dore.

The modular plant's design supports the company's operational goals while also aligning with its commitment to environmental, social, and governance targets.
