Total to grease Lihir's wheels (and other bits too)

INTERNATIONAL energy company Total has been awarded a four-year contract to supply lubricants to Newcrest Mining's Lihir gold mine in Papua New Guinea.

Under the deal Total will supply 14 million litres of lubricants to the mine that produces more than 900,000 ounces of gold a year. The competitive tender process for the contract began last November....
