Designed at the request of a customer who wanted to address the high number of damaged hoses they were sustaining on a drill rig, the Miner Scorpion Cable Handler has since gained in popularity.

The cable handler encases the cables and hoses on the rig, protecting them from wear and tear while allowing them to move freely with the rig’s motions.

The handler can be applied to underground roof and rib bolters, quarry drill rigs and borehole drill rigs, amongst others.

ACT is able to manufacture the unit in various sizes and capacities to suit multiple applications.

In addition to the company’s cable handling range, it will also showcase its flight bar design for longwall mining.
