Scorpion signed an option to acquire the Yallon and Sunday Well tenements late last year from fellow exploration company Element 25.

Covering 384sq.kms, the tenements are considered highly prospective for gold mineralisation.

E25 declared, at the time of the signing, that an exploration and heritage agreement was pending for the holdings after an expedited procedure objection application was lodged by the Wajarri Yamatji group, to the National Native Title Tribunal.

However, this was withdrawn on January 14 by the tribunal, with the parties then coming to an agreement.

The Wajarri Yamatji group is in the process of executing the agreement, along with a Deed of Assignment, Assumption and Consent for all parties.

Scorpion expects the tenement to progress to grant shortly.
