Heat stress device scoops safety innovation awards

A PORTABLE chilled air device that tackles heat stress in underground mines developed by Anglo American outbye superintendent Mark Gleadhill has won both the Innovation Award and the People’s Choice Award at the Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference.


Gleadhill has won a trip to the US to tour the Mine Safety & Health Administration in Virginia and will participate in the Denver-based SME Annual Conference & Expo early next year.
