Fatality at Baal Bone

ONE miner was killed after a roof fall in the longwall area of the Enex Resources’ Baal Bone mine in New South Wales, and another injured.

Graham Jordan, who was 58, died after being transferred to hospital in Sydney for emergency surgery. He was trapped for an hour and a half after the roof collapsed. ILN understands the fall may have occurred in the tailgate area of the longwall.

A second miner, Alan Ekford, 39, was in satisfactory condition in Bathurst Hospital.
