Mannering incident prompts warning on roadway inspections

MINE operators should ensure the mine strata management plan encompasses procedures for inspecting the condition of roadways, strata support, and reporting of damage, the New South Wales Resources Regulator has warned, after its investigation into an incident at Lake Coal’s Mannering Colliery where a load-haul-dump vehicle operator suffered a serious laceration to his head.
