Rubber tyres pose risks in lightning storms

WITH the storm season now approaching Queensland, coal mines should review their severe weather or lightning trigger action response plans to take into account the risk to coal mine workers operating heavy rubber-tyred vehicles during lightning storms, the Queensland Mines Inspectorate has warned.
