THE Minerals Council of Australia will be making the case strongly to the Productivity Commission that the many mining workers and their families who choose the flexibility and choice offered by fly-in-fly-out and their families should not be disadvantaged by any tax changes proposed.

Mining workers and their families who choose the flexibility and choice offered by fly-in-fly-out and their families should not be disadvantaged by any tax changes proposed, says the Minerals Council of Australia.

It will also be advocating that fringe benefit tax arrangements should not discriminate between different types of accommodation in remote locations, Minerals Council CEO Tania Constable said.
