Monitoring technology to assist with North Goonyella restart

PEABODY Energy is attempting to accelerate the re-entry of its North Goonyella longwall mine, which has been out of action since a fire in September last year, through the use of advanced monitoring methodologies such as camera imaging.

The company believes this technology will assist in its goal of restarting production at the mine in the second half of 2019, Peabody Energy president and CEO Glenn Kellow told an analyst's conference....
