Adani restricts indigenous group from Carmichael access

ADANI has won an interim injunction that specifically bans First Nations land owners, Adrian Burragubba and Coedie McAvoy, from returning to a ceremonial site on the Carmichael coal mine site in Queensland where native title was recently extinguished by the state government for the mining company.

Wangan & Jagalingou Council spokesman Burragubba said Adani continued to harass and denigrate the council through the courts.

It will also prevent all other W&J Family Council members from exercising their rights and practicing their culture on that land without Adani's permission.
