Production resumes at Centennial mines after bushfire emergency

PRODUCTION at Centennial Coal’s Springvale and Clarence mines in New South Wales have resumed after the mines came face to face with the bushfire emergency with miners picking up firefighting hoses to keep the flames at bay.

Centennial Coal's Clarence mine in NSW was surrounded by bushfires.

Centennial CEO Peter Parry said the company worked closely with the relevant agencies in preparing for the worst and staff did an outstanding job of protecting operations.
