QUEENSLAND’S Coordinator-General has declared the proposed $2.9 billion Urannah Dam a coordinated project with the potential to provide water security for mines in central Queensland.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and mines minister Dr Anthony Lynham.

The project is to go through an impact assessment process to determine any significant environmental, social, cultural and economic impacts it may have on the region.
