CENTENNIAL Coal has failed to pick a mistake by one of its consultants on scope three emissions for its Angus Place colliery extension project in New South Wales before an environmental impact statement went on public exhibition.

In the case of the most recent Angus Place extension project, when calculating scope 3 emissions, the EIS includes the indirect upstream combustion of diesel, electricity consumption, waste disposal, employee travel and production and transport of the coal.

A company spokeswoman said the error would be rectified and addressed in the response to submissions part of the assessment process.
