WA halves respirable dust limits

THE Western Australian government has halved the workplace exposure standard for respirable crystalline silica to 0.05 milligrams per cubic metre effective and respirable coal dust to 1.5 milligrams per cubic metre.

Employers of workers with a risk of silicosis had to provide health surveillance.
