Whitehaven to face court over alleged Narrabri breaches

THE New South Wales Resources Regulator is pursuing legal action against Whitehaven Coal subsidiaries Narrabri Coal Pty Ltd and Narrabri Coal Operations Pty Ltd in the Land and Environment Court for a string of alleged breaches of the state’s mining laws.

The regulator rejected the undertaking on December 3 2020 having regard to the seriousness of the alleged conduct.
