Carmichael to drain 270B litres of water: expert

THE Carmichael coal mine in Queensland’s Galilee Basin proposed by Adani would drain at least 270 billion litres of groundwater over the 60 year life of the project, according to the former Queensland government general manager of water planning and allocation Tom Crothers.
