Christmas comes early for the Abbott's Booby as Frydenburg says no to phosphate

MINISTER for the Environment and Energy Josh Frydenberg has decided not to approve Phosphate Resources’ environmental approval application to carry out some small-scale exploration clearing on Christmas Island because the activity will likely have significant and unacceptable impacts on matters protected under national environment law.
