Bunbury lithium plant gets green light

WESTERN Australia’s Environment Minister Stephen Dawson has agreed with the Environmental Protection Authority chairman’s recommendations and approved Abermarle’s 100,000 tonne per annum Kemerton lithium hydroxide manufacturing plant near Bunbury, south of Perth.

Kemerton conceptual plan

The plant in the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area will consist of up to five lithium hydroxide product process trains and associated infrastructure.
