HEALTH standards are under review at a Western Australian mining camp after 26 fly-in, fly-out workers were struck down with gastroenteritis in an outbreak blamed on poor food hygiene, raw sewage overflows and feral cat excrement.

There have been 26 workers from the Searipple Village work camp in Karratha taken ill in the past few days, with 20 of them having to go to hospital for treatment.
