AN ELECTRICIAN who suffered an electric shock when he placed his hand between two live 1000V terminals of a control transformer had to drive himself to the site’s workshop to get help.

According to a report by the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, the electrician was looking for a fault in a vent fan control panel at one of the state's mines
