Work suspended at Snapper following fatal incident

AMERICAN sand miner Tronox has confirmed work has been suspended at the Snapper mine in New South Wales after a contractor was killed there on August 12 in a collision between a light vehicle and a dozer.

The road to Snapper

The Snapper mine, 40km west of Pooncarie in the state's far west is run by Cristal Mining, a Saudi-backed company now in Tronox' stable after a two-year takeover bid came to fruition in April.
