Perenti workers caught up in fatal African convoy attack

THERE have been several fatalities after a convoy carrying workers, including Perenti contractors, to Semafo’s Bongou gold mine in Burkina Faso came under attack about 40km from the mine resulting in several fatalities.

According to Semafo, the Boungou mine site remains secure and its operations have not been affected.
