MORE than two thirds of BHP shareholders have voted against a resolution that BHP abandon links to pro-coal lobbying groups.

BHP is sticking with coal and the pro-coal lobbying groups it is involved with.

The resolution, put forward by a group of shareholders led by the Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility, regarded "lobbying inconsistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement".
