ENVIRONMENTAL approval timeframes will be slashed by an average six months as part of a bilateral approval agreement between Western Australia’s state government and the federal government to streamline environmental assessments and approvals.

WA has about $100 billion worth of development proposals in the pipeline set to benefit from the agreement.

The agreement will remove duplication between state and federal requirements and reduce unnecessary regulatory obligations on industry.
