Fine for risky business

AN OPAL miner has been convicted and fined $70,000 in the District Court of New South Wales for failing to comply with a health and safety duty over the November 2016 incident that led to the death of a worker at a mineral claim in the Mulga Rush opal fields near Lightning Ridge.
