Floods put dampener on Whitehaven production forecast

WHITEHAVEN Coal has lowered its annual production guidance after flooding in New South Wales and a slower than expected ramp-up of production at Narrabri mine because of geotechnical issues.

A structural assessment of NICG’s shiploader SL1 identified faults requiring an expected period of two weeks to be repaired.
