EPA scathing of Mt Pleasant expansion plans

THE New South Wales Environmental Protection Authority has panned MACH Energy’s proposed expansion of the Mt Pleasant coal mine in the Hunter Valley after reviewing the environmental impact statement.

 The proposal constitutes a significant increase in operation at Mt Pleasant from 10.5 million tonnes per annum to 21Mtpa.
