Research to uncover impact of climate change on rehab

CLIMATE change could impact the stability of rehabilitated coal mines including disused brown coal mines in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley, according to a research project by Federation University Australia.

Final rehabilitation of the Latrobe Valley coal mines will require at least part of the void slopes to be covered by earthen material and soil.
