PEAK Gold Mines Pty Ltd has been convicted and fined $480,000 in the NSW District Court for breaching the state’s Work Health and Safety Act following the death of 36-year-old Mark Brilley at the Peak gold mine near Cobar, New South Wales in April 2017.
