THE Queensland Resources Council and its exploration arm, the Queensland Exploration Council, have joined the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies in boycotting the industry launch of the Queensland Resources Industry Development Plan in Brisbane in protest against Annastacia Palaszczuk’s government’s extra coal royalties.
The Queensland Resources Council said the state government's new royalties were an unnecessary slug on the coal mining industry.
