(Some) Taxing times over for Rio Tinto

RIO Tinto has paid an additional $613 million to settle disputes with the Australian Taxation Office centring on Rio Tinto’s Singapore marketing hub. The settlement brings Rio Tinto’s total payment in relation to the disputes to almost $1 billion.
