Court rules redundant Peabody workers be paid out sick leave

THE Federal Court has found Peabody Energy was legally obliged to pay out specific redundant workers at its Wambo and North Goonyella coal mines for accrued but untaken sick leave.

The Federal Court ordered that Peabody must now pay the relevant redundant employees their accrued sick leave in full.
